Paul in the office has been helpful and open. Tamir who has helped us work out more details is a stand up guy, so professional and knowledgeable! So I’ve been working with Preferred for the past months and now that the project is coming closer to the end, I wanted to highlight my experience having worked with the team. Eli and Talia whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with, have been nothing but amazing on their delivery in every aspect. Phone calls and texts always get answered and always impress me in the way they handle everything - extremely organized and timely. When they say things will get done a certain time and day, expect nothing but that. The greatest aspect however is their ability to handle hurdles and difficulties when they come about and how efficient and professional they truly are. Now, they rarely come about problems because of how iron-clad their process is but when they do and it’s usually MY OWN FAULT that causes it, they are always one step ahead and find solutions to help me. They are so supportive and are truly your best friend when it comes to anything construction. A master at their craft. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We just passed final inspection on a 430sqft room addition with Preferred Home Builders! When we started looking for people for this project about 4 months ago I met with four companies. PHB was the first one we met with. Tamir the owner came by and he looked at our blueprint drawings and looked out back of the house and he quickly understood the scope of the work and idea of the project. His experience in the field definitely shows in his understanding of the project. His estimate of the completion was 3 months. He was confident in that though I was skeptical. I spoke with another customer he was working with at the time to get feedback on her experience with them. She actually was a repeat customer.
After a few weeks of meeting others we decided that Tamir and PHB would be our choice. His pricing was more than fair. Once we signed things moved along very quickly. Talia, who is also his daughter, helped coordinate the scheduling for each weeks work. She's been amazing throughout the process. Always letting us know what to expect for each phase of the project. Steven the foreman has been more than amazing! He and his team of workers have been great to work with - professionally and personally. Everyone at PHB has been great working with. Almost exactly to 3 months when we started we are done!
Has everything been perfect? Of course not. It never is. I've worked with different contractors for different projects at my house and there's always something that goes wrong. But the important thing is how do they respond when you have a problem? PHB always made sure to address everything I bring up and never said they can't do something or give me problems fixing something. You also expect to have some additional charges for unexpected things. How much extra did I pay? ZERO! First time in a major home project that I didn't end up paying any extra charges!
We referred them to our friend also and they just started work on their addition and we have another friend who's meeting with them for a major project. Very happy I found PHB and would gladly recommend them for your home project! Thanks Tamir and everyone at PHB!

We were pleased to discuss specifics so quickly and get our "must-haves" met right away. Our bathroom was featured in Angie's List. Their work withstood the decade still looking beautiful, and we never had any doubt about using them again.
Today, we met with Tamir to start our kitchen remodel and I remember now how lovely he is to work with. He has such great vision and is able to render schematics right on the spot, showing the designs, dimensions and options. He was thorough, efficient and his enthusiasm for the project makes him a joy to work with. His cost estimate was right in line with what we were expecting.
I am really looking forward to seeing this new project come to fruition. I'll keep you all posted...

There was a lot to coordinate and between Paulina at the office, Nir our project manager and the crew we were kept informed as to how things were progressing, which milestones and inspections we were hitting each week, what they needed from us and what next steps would be the whole way. The detail they went into before the project began meant that changes during the project were kept to an absolute minimum, which in turn kept us on budget for the work that they were doing.
They were patient with our questions and helped guide us through the process. They were really focused on making sure that we were happy with the product the whole way through. We knew we had picked a good contractor when we signed with them, but now I can honestly say we picked a GREAT contractor!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Preferred Home Builders saved us over $10,000 and we haven't even worked with them yet! Our ADU was damaged in the floods. We had to relocate our tenant and find a contractor overnight. A contractor that we'd worked with previously for small jobs came to evaluate the damage and told us the foundation was cracked, there was mold everywhere- Just the absolute worst thing you want to hear as a home owner. Naturally we paid the deposit and to start the demolition. Then the contractor starts demanding more and more money outside of the agreed upon payment schedule. I don't use the word demand lightly. He was literally calling every day. Maybe he was relying on the fact that we knew him, but nope. Red flag.
I found Preferred Home Builder to get a second opinion. The man that answered (I wish I wrote his name down) listened to the problem and literally gave me a 30 min free consultation on what the problem likely was (Spoiler: not the foundation). He kindly explained that it was likely a drainage issue in the yard, but recommended we contact a landscaper to fix the root of the problem (the drainage) not just the symptoms (the water in the house). He didn't try to sell me anything. He just listened and offered advice. Just talking to him and working through the possibilities helped make a very stressful situation suddenly feel so much easier to handle. The next week the landscaping company arrived and confirmed the drainage issue. A foundation specialist came (just in case) to take a look at the foundation and also confirmed it was not a foundation issue.
The price to have the yard drainage fixed doesn't come close to the price this other guy wanted to charge. Which means we have more money to devote to repairing the interior of the ADU (the demolition was needed because there was mold). Guess who we're hiring for that job? Preferred Home Builders. There's no way I would miss an opportunity to work with a company that is great at what they do, but also genuinely cares for people LONG before they pull their credit card out. We will get a beautifully renovated ADU and our peace of mind. We couldn't ask for more
